Being a single mom I didn’t have the time for me. So, when my daughter was old enough I decided that I had time. So I joined OAF. I am diabetic. I wanted to get my body back in shape and wanted to help control my diabetes. I haven’t been more proud of my body and my health. Mike motivates me not just at workouts but in life in general. I am stronger and feel like I can keep up with my teenage daughter. Who, by the way, also went to OAF after a sports injury. Mike was a factor in nursing her back to good health. During classes he recognizes my limitations and offers subtle tweaks to routnes so that I can get full benefit of the worout. Mike’s training was one of those things that you didn’t know you needed until you experienced it and then you wished you wouldn’t have waited so long to start it!
In 2013 I was content…I was a mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher and the list goes on and on. I was many things, but the one thing I wasn’t was strong, fit, and healthy. In fact, I was out of shape and at my highest, non-pregnancy weight ever. Friends of mine encouraged me to begin group training with them and that’s when I first met Mike Over. I was terrified, lacked confidence, and was sure that I would fail, but Mike’s quiet confidence and encouragement quickly made me believe that I COULD DO THIS!
I was with Mike the very first day he opened Over-Achieve Fitness all those years ago, and he has been changing my life, and the lives of so many others, ever since! Mike’s knowledge and his desire to change people’s lives is unmatched. He not only trains you physically, but mentally as well! He has a way of making you believe that your mind and your body are capable of things beyond your wildest dreams. Prior to 2013, I had no desire to physically exert myself beyond walking, hiking and the occasional bike ride. However, since beginning my training with Mike I have completed a Spartan race, four half-marathons, and many 10ks, 5ks and mud runs!
I am now 43 and my confidence is high because my body is strong and fit. Because of Mike I know how to train my body and I know how to fuel my body. He is constantly sharing tips on fitness, nutrition, recovery, and ways to have a healthy body and mind I have even been able to inspire and share my knowledge with some of my friends and family along the way.
To put it simply, if you put your trust in Mike, like I did, and follow his plan for you, you will see amazing results! Your body will change, your mind will change, and your confidence will change.
